Unfortunately, while it is making me paint more, I won't be able to get any good quality photos of my paintings for a while, which means no new prints and really shitty cameraphone shots (i.e. my latest painting "Untitled" - it looks so much better in person).
On another related topic, I have come up with a pricing system for my paintings, so if anyone is interested in having me do commissions, here's how I charge.
Original Artwork (meaning I created the design, idea, etc.): $0.50/square inch + $15/hour
Referenced Commissions (you give me a photo, I paint it): $0.25/square inch + $15/hour
The final prices are rounded to the nearest $5, with a minimum of $15 for any piece. If you want something tiny, like a 3x3 in piece, I'm not going to charge for the canvas size, only the labor, which will likely be $15.
As an example of cost, my most recent painting was and original 11x14 (base price of $77 for that size) with about 3 hours work time ($45). Rounded to the nearest $5, it comes to a total of $120.
If I were doing a commission of that size for that amount of time, it would come out to $85.
I can be a little flexible on pricing as per complexity of the piece if you commission a piece, but I won't drop my hourly rate.
